Welcome
to a Secret Subject Swap. This week, 14 brave bloggers picked a secret subject
for someone else and were assigned a secret subject to interpret in their own
style. Today we are all simultaneously divulging our topics and submitting our
posts.
Okay, first, I need to address something. The above clip is from one of my absolute favorite shows "Psych". Last week, they had their SERIES FINALE! C'mon son! That sucks so bad. This Monday, another one of my favorite shows is ending...that would be "Being Human". And this summer will bring the very last season of "True Blood". 2014 is shaping up to be a bad year for my TV viewing and, well.....it sucks.
Shew, I'm so glad I got that off my chest. Now, on to my subject.
"Most of us just emerged from a very long, very tough winter. What
was your FAVORITE thing from this past winter and why?" I got this prompt from the very lovely Michelle from Juicebox Confession. I mother effing ADORE her!
I hate Winter.
There, I said it.
To be fair, I also hate Summer. I'm a Spring and Fall kinda gal. I like mild, comfortable temperatures. Too hot or too cold and I'm just not happy.
I live in Kentucky and we usually have pretty tame winters. This winter, however, was anything but tame. I blame the Disney release of "Frozen" for this.
If you have kids around while playing this song....you. are. welcome.
I know that it was so bad the kids only went to school 6 days in January. They also missed quite a few days in February.
I know this post is suppose to be about my favorite thing from this past winter, but honestly, I don't have one. It sucked. I guess the closest I can come to having a "favorite" would be that I was able to take some pretty pictures.
Honestly, that's about it. I HATED this Winter. It caused me to be cold. It caused my kids to not be in school. It caused my electric bill to go up about $100. This Winter just absolutely SUCKED.
What was your favorite thing?

OMG OMG OMG...I love Psych but have not watched it in a LONG time...now with ROKU it's been on a back burner, I need to see if I can watch all the ones I missed. I HATE the summer and like the winter, but this winter pissed me off to no end. I am totally a fall and spring girl too!
ReplyDeleteI think they have season 1-6 on Netflix. Don't hold me to that though.......
DeleteI LOVE the pictures you took! Beautiful!
ReplyDeleteThanks, lady!
DeleteThis winter has truly sucked and we are still getting snow.. having already had 299 inches... YUCK! I am also not a big Summer person. I am more of a Fall and Spring person too... I don't like the extreme in temperatures.. but I might as well get use to the fact that WINTER is here to stay all year.
ReplyDeleteSeems that way sometimes. Spring has sprung here in Kentucky, but it has been raining, so we can't enjoy it.
Deletei am from denver colorado, so i am used to intense weather such as snow and ice but i have to agree with you. this winter was HORRIBLE! i am in east tennessee where snow rarely sticks, yet it stuck FIVE different times! needless to say, i cannot wait for the warmer weather as i love to garden and am hoping to start very soon!
ReplyDeleteI live in Kentucky, so I'm right there with ya.
DeleteI woke up this morning to new snow on the ground so I'm with you. I think my favorite thing about this winter is your beautiful pictures too!
ReplyDeleteUGH! I'm so sorry! But thanks!
DeleteI am NOT a big fan of extreme temps but I can deal with winter MUCH better than summer.
ReplyDeleteLOVE those pics!! SOOOO beautiful!!! You ought to enter them into a contest or something. Absolutely gorgeous!!
Thank you. I considered it.
DeleteI'm with you about Spring and Fall. They are my favorite seasons as well. Fall being my most favorite. I think it's because it's also football season in the Fall. But this winter, I'd say my favorite thing was, hmmm, well, I'm trying. What did I do on Christmas? I don't remember. I give up.
ReplyDeleteHahaha! I did enjoy the Christmas dinner....lol. So I guess that's something.
DeleteWe're still getting random bouts of snow here in Utah, so I feel your pain. Your pictures were fabulous, though!
ReplyDeleteThank you.
DeleteI'm paraphrasing here but, "Winter can Suuuuuuck it!" ahahha.
ReplyDeleteWe were on Spring break and it snowed all flipping week. What's that about?
My 20 year old thanks you. "Let it go, let it go!"
<3 ya, twinnie
C'mon now, what about Christmas? Hot chocolate? Loved your pictures :-)
ReplyDeleteHere's to spring - your times has come, yay!
