My subject is "You live in a medieval castle.  You are allowed one title and all the responsibilities that go with it, good and bad.  Tell us about a day in your life, depending on the title you choose."  It was submitted by http://www.someoneelsesgenius.com .  Here goes:  

As you can imagine, it isn't easy being the most adored person in this castle. It is rare that I get alone time. I can't even bathe by myself! It's absolutely ridiculous. From sun up to sun down, someone is around me, touching me, washing me, making sure I look my very best.

It can be tiresome, that's for sure. But, it's also fun. I get invited to all the parties...and let me tell you, there are some awesome parties in this castle. I am surrounded by royalty all the time. They gently handle me, knowing how important I am. No one wants to mistreat me, for they will feel a mighty, mighty wrath. 

Oh, but when the party is over and it's time for my bath......I should look forward to it, and I would...if I only bathed alone. But I have to share my time. Then, in my chambers, as I'm trying to sleep, the sounds of people around keeps me awake. They have no respect for me sometimes and that really pisses me off. I work hard around here. My job is not an easy one. A little respect would be nice.

On the other hand, however, I get a lot of one on one time with some of my favorite people. I possess a quality that many lack. I'm a fantastic listener. So I get to hear all the secrets, all the drama, all the gossip. I keep them dear to my heart though. I'm the trusted confidant after all. 

I guess, all in all, being the castle tea kettle isn't THAT bad. It could be worse.
