Here I sit, celebrating my 90th birthday. I have lived a long, happy life. I've seen many things in my life. Some were good, some were bad, but all of them were defining in someway.
I have mentioned, several times, that there is one thing I have never seen. I was sure my family was trying to ignore me and my crazy old lady ramblings. But I knew....I KNEW that my life just wouldn't be complete until I got see this one thing.
My family was gathered here to help celebrate this momentous occasion. I mean, it's not every day you turn 90! There was cake, food, family, friends.....you'd think I'd be satisfied.
But I'm not.
I knew they'd forget.
It's time to open presents. The fun is almost over. I didn't get my wish. That makes me sad. I know I SHOULDN'T be sad. I'm surrounded b so many wonderful people. Yet, something is missing.
Finally, they wheel out a pretty sizable box. I wonder if it is the toy house I saw my grandson building.
I open it.
Out popped a man in nothing but a g-string loin cloth.
They remembered!!!
As this good looking man gyrates, giving me a lap dance, I slip from this life with a smile. I've seen the Seven Wonders of the World. I've been madly in love. But this....this stripper has caused my life to be complete and me to die a happy woman.
Today’s
post is a writing challenge. This is how it works: participating bloggers
picked 4 – 6 words or short phrases for someone else to craft into a post. All
words must be used at least once and all the posts will be unique as each
writer has received their own set of words. That’s the challenge, here’s a fun
twist; no one who’s participating knows who got their words and in what
direction the writer will take them. Until now.
I’m
using: birthday ~ celebrate ~ forget ~ popped ~ ignore ~ satisfied

ReplyDeleteRemember to invite me to your 90th bday party..I'll bring the dollar bills!
ReplyDeleteOh sweet mercy. Thank you for the laugh! Love it! Great use of your words!
ReplyDeleteMake sure you invite me to that party too. I can bring jello, and we get two of them to do a jello fight.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great job with your words and thanks for the chuckle. Especially in light of the party we went to last weekend for a 92 year old who looks and acts 70!
ReplyDeleteGreat story, Sarah. I love that every time I come to read your post I don't know what I'll find but I know I'll be entertained.
