Today, I feel overworked and confused. For about a couple of months, I wasn't being used. Now, it's every single day! But tomorrow, I won't be used yet again and who knows when I'll get to work the next time. I don't get paid for this, nor do I get any appreciation. It's not really a HARD job, per say. I just run a few hours a day. I used to run all day and all night. I don't know if I'll get to continue or not and I guess that worries me, but I'm not sure. Sometimes, I have to have some help from the others. It sits in the room and they usually only use it at night. But sometimes, I can't keep up and they have to use it.
One would think this is a cool job, but it really isn't. Being an air conditioner, especially in the Florida heat, can be hard.
What do you feel?
Welcome to a Secret Subject Swap. This week 9 brave bloggers picked a secret subject for someone else and were assigned a secret subject to interpret in their own style. Today we are all simultaneously divulging our topics and submitting our posts.
My subject was "Let your mind take a weird ramble today. Start with the sentence, "Today, I feel..." and begin describing your emotions and how you feel about your day but from the point of one of your household appliances." and it was submitted by Jen from Sparkly Poetic Weirdo.

Ha, perfect. And oh how I wish our air conditioner (Mother Nature) wasn't stuck on "freezing".
ReplyDeleteAs always we get a great of example of where a little prompt may take a creative writer!
ReplyDeleteAt some point I knew what you were talking about, btw :-)
Love the approach you took!🖤
ReplyDeleteHa! That's good stuff. As I read, all I'm thinking is... what the heck. Nice job.
ReplyDeleteThat's funny. I was wondering what "I" was going to turn out to be. I can see an a/c unit being tired, especially in Florida. Quiet the creative mind you have.
