We all go through life looking for something meaningful.
It's just what we do.
But to be able to find something meaningful, we have to be willing and open to change. Not only change around us but change FOR us.
We have to grow and evolve, allow experiences or things to make us into a different, sometimes better version of ourselves.
Take, for example, water. It starts out fluid, ebbing and flowing. But when it is contained and placed in a cold environment, it becomes ice.
Change.
It's good for the soul, it's good for the heart, it's good for the spirit.
Sometimes, change can be disappointing. It can make us feel like we are less, somehow. Sometimes, change can take a whole thing and make it into something else but there is some waste at the end of it all. That's not a good thing.
Change can make you feel like parts of you have disappeared. Who knows, maybe they have. Or maybe they have become something different and you are now something new.
I've recently undergone a change myself. I've actually gone through several, but this one...this is a good one, with only a little bit of waste. Well, I guess it wasn't waste...part of me was used differently.
As a whole block, I couldn't grace the most amazing thing ever.
But as shredded cheese, I get to be on tacos.
And tacos are just good for the soul.
Today’s post is a writing challenge. This is how it works: participating bloggers picked 4 – 6 words or short phrases for someone else to craft into a post. All words must be used at least once and all the posts will be unique as each writer has received their own set of words. That’s the challenge, here’s a fun twist; no one who’s participating knows who got their words and in what direction the writer will take them. Until now.
My words were "shredded ~ water ~ ice ~ meaningful ~ disappeared" and they were submitted by the folk writer over at On The Border. Thanks for the words!
