I think I do this every September...lol Not sure why. But welcome to the Fly on the Wall post, where I give you some insight into my life. Just some little snippets that wouldn't really make a whole post.
Let's just jump right in. These are in no particular order...
~ Sebastian and Anastasia, my first babies, turned 18 on July 24th. I have adult children...I'm still trying to wrap my head around that. We went to my sister-in-law's house and had an epic party for them.

~ September 18th, Matthew and I celebrated our 14th wedding anniversary. We didn't go out to eat or anything, instead I made pork chops with fried potatoes and green beans. We celebrated with an ice cream cake. It was a pretty good day.
~ June was Pride month and we went to 2 different parades; one in Newport/Covington and one in Cincinnati. We were actually IN the one in Cincinnati, which was fun (but SUPER hot). Here are some pictures.

NKY Pride. Sebastian's shirt says Allysaurus, Caleb's says Transaurus Rex
~I won tickets to the Cincinnati Reds Pride Night Out. That was a ton of fun! I love baseball games.
~ We had to go to Michigan at the end of June because my brother-in-law passed away. This was at his wake, memorial, after party, celebration of life...whatever it's called.

My men!
~ My mom came to visit in August. She drove down from Missouri, where she lives, stayed a couple of days then flew to Florida for a week, then came back for another couple of days. We went out and had "joy" (that's what I used to call it when my mom would go out to eat without me when I was itty bitty) while the boys went to Hooters. Got back home before them only to realize, I didn't have my keys (we took my mom's car). So this is us, waiting in her car for Matthew to come save us.
~ If you are on TikTok, you know all about those organizational moms who have these really neat fridges and pantries. I strive for that, but chaos reigns in my house. To feel somewhat put together, I got an egg holder. To transfer my eggs from the carton...to the plastic egg holder thing. It doesn't have to make sense...
~ I've discovered a store called Gabe's and I'm in love. So.Much.Cute.Decor! I snatched this cup up. I don't even use a mug when I drink coffee, but by gosh, I'm building a mug collection!

Thank you for being a friend!
~ I've always wanted a fireplace, but have never lived in a house that has one. So, I bought a TV stand that has one in it. This is Casey checking it out. She thinks it's real and I don't have the heart to tell her it isn't.
~ Back to TikTok (find me on there...whattfsarah)...I kept seeing videos of witches people turning heavy whipping cream into butter. I had to try it, so I bought some HWC, let it sit in my fridge for about 2 weeks, then finally gave it a shot and BEHOLD! I've made butter!
~ Is it really a trip to Walmart if Caleb doesn't model a bra?
~ Sebastian and I were joking around one day and I told him not to look at me with his face, so he went to his room and came out wearing this...
And yes, he cleaned up the kitchen wearing it...
~ We took Caleb to Nashville to see his favorite band, Deftones. It was awesome, seeing him see them. He was so excited. When they came out and Chino started singing, there might have been tears.
Okay, that's about all I have for you this time. I might try to do this more than once a year...we will have to see.

It's shocking, when your kids become adults, isn't it. 'Cause you know you were just changing their diapers, like yesterday. Love these updates, yes, maybe you SHOULD do them more than once a year.
ReplyDeleteMaybe twice a year? lol Yea, them growing up is shocking and I'm not a fan. lol
